Aishabai College of Education is a Muslim Minority, Non-Government, Unaided College, affiliated to S.N.D.T. Women’s University, Mumbai, and recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (N.C.T.E.). The institution is managed by the esteemed Fazlani Aishabai and Haji Abdul Latif Charitable Trust, well known for its longstanding commitment to education and social development.

The college was established in August 2005 in South Mumbai under the visionary leadership of our Founder and Chairman, with the noble mission of uplifting and empowering women through quality teacher education. Since its inception, the college has remained dedicated to providing a platform where women can develop professionally, intellectually, and morally to become competent educators and responsible citizens.

The Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) Programme is a full-time, two-year professional course designed to prepare students for careers in teaching and educational leadership. The curriculum effectively blends theoretical learning with practical experience and includes regular lectures, practice teaching, lesson observation, internship programmes, preparation of instructional materials and teaching aids, and project work. Special emphasis is placed on computer literacy and the use of educational technology, ensuring that trainees are equipped with modern pedagogical skills.

Objectives of the B.Ed. Programme

The Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) Programme at Aishabai College of Education aims to prepare competent, reflective, and socially responsible educators. Upon successful completion of the programme, the student-teacher will be able to:

  • Acquire conceptual tools of sociological analysis and gain hands-on experience by engaging with diverse communities, children, and schools.
  • Apply knowledge of various aspects of learner development in planning and implementing effective learning experiences.
  • Develop professional skills related to the multiple roles of a teacher in facilitating and managing the learning process.
